Bringing Industry and Regulators Together to Discuss Flare Emissions
Greens Combustion was pleased to support and help organise the recent British Flame Research Committee (BFRC) Mini Flame Day in Aberdeen, bringing together North Sea operators, industry specialists, and UK regulators for focused discussions on flare emissions and emissions reduction strategies.
As an active member of the BFRC and leader of the BFRC Flare Working Group on flare emissions, Greens Combustion continues to play an important role in driving industry collaboration and supporting the development of practical solutions to improve flare performance and reduce environmental impact.
The Aberdeen event provided a valuable platform for open discussion between operators and regulators, allowing attendees to share experiences, explore current challenges, and discuss the evolving requirements surrounding flare emissions monitoring and reduction.
During the event, Greens Combustion also showcased its latest Flare-in-a-Box emissions testing technology. Designed to provide accurate flare emissions measurements in operational environments, the technology generated significant interest and sparked a number of productive conversations throughout the day.
Events such as Mini Flame Day play an important role in encouraging knowledge sharing across the industry, helping organisations work together towards common goals while supporting ongoing improvements in safety, efficiency, and environmental performance.
Greens Combustion would like to thank the British Flame Research Committee and all attendees who contributed to making the event such a success. We look forward to continuing the work of the BFRC Flare Working Group and helping drive meaningful progress in flare emissions reduction across the industry.
The conversation will continue later this year at the main BFRC Flame Day in Poole on 30 September and 1 October, where flaring and emissions will once again be key topics of discussion.
